It was in Cöthen that Bach wrote some of his greatest instrumental works. Among these, the 20-year old Grand Prize Winner of the 2010 Montreal International Musical Competition, Benjamin Beilman, will perform the first two works of the cycle for solo violin, the Sonata and Partita No. 1, and with Yekwon Sunwoo two Sonatas for Violin and Piano.
