KRISTIAN BEZUIDENHOUT, fortepiano

Kristian Bezuidenhout is a master of the fortepiano, an instrument which no longer sounds like a harpsichord but is not yet comparable to a modern piano.  It is surely very like the keyboards Mozart would have himself played at the end of his life and is also similar to Friedrich the Great’s famous Silbermann Hammerklavier which Johann Sebastian Bach tried out in Potsdam and which his son Carl Philipp Emanuel would certainly have known.
