EUROPA GALANTE
Fabio Biondi, conductor and solo violin

That Europa Galante has been named the Ferrari of Italian Baroque music is no surprise to anyone who has been lucky enough to hear the lively playing, the relentless tempi and the unmatched momentum of these seasoned musicians under Fabio Biondi, their exceptionally gifted conductor. Four composers, two Germans and two Italians, share a programme which offers you something maybe completely new – do you know Telemann’s La Changeante? – as well as some well-loved evergreens: Corelli’s famous Follia transcribed by Geminiani, to name but one.
